Ricky Palomino, also known as Marcelino, began ballet and dance training in 1996 when he was 14 years old at Ballet Arizona, and OpenDance Company where he trained in the Vaganova, and Balanchine Styles, under Michelle Ceballos, Olga Tarasova, then Jeremy Miller for Jazz and Modern Technique. After he graduated, he moved to New York City and became an Alvin Ailey and Broadway Dance Center Scholarship Recipient, danced with H.T Chen Dance & Co, and later became an original member of Cedar Lake Dance Company.
In 2005, Ricky started teaching on West Coast Dance Explosion developing a passion for educating and choreographing. In 2007 he starred on the hit FOX show, So You Think You Can Dance, then later for Dancing with the Stars, he has assisted Mia Michaels, Tyce Diorio, Chris Scott, and Tessandra Chavez on SYTYCD. He Wrote, Directed, and Co-Choreographed the 55 minute touring spectacle, “The Transit of Venus” for Kielecki Teatr Tanca in Kielce, Poland which toured Europe, he choreographed for TV Shows, Abbys Ultimate Dance Competition, Dance Moms, and Raising Asia, has Directed, Produced, and Choreographed Music Videos for Matt Cady, Nicci, Dyson, Blake McGrath, Alyson Stoner, Vincint, and Simple Creatures, and has set live work for The Pointer Sisters, Taylor Dane, Kristine W, and Patti Labelle. He was a story producer for Lifetime TV’s, American Beauty Star in 2018, and recently starred in the feature film, The Accompanist, which is a part of Cannes Film Festival 2019 as lead/supporting actor.
